What is America?
My red, white, and blue
What is America?
Bold, brave, and true.

Star and stripes and eagles fly
Across a robin's blue egg sky
O'er fields of wheat and amber grain
Above the rocky hills and plains

What is America?
My red, white, and blue
What is America?
Bold, brave, and true.

Soft summer winds with balmy breath
Make stars and stripes dance with the best
Bright colors bursting into bloom
A brilliant colored, glowing moon

What is America?
My red, white, and blue
What is America?
Bold, brave, and true.

A child now lays down to rest
And prays to God his dad be blessed
And brought home safe and sound real soon
While mother hums a simple tune

What is America?
My red, white, and blue
What is America?
Bold, brave, forever true.
I came up with this poem on the spur of the moment and then really liked it. It's not political, so please don't make it into a political peice. It's just me being my usual patriotic self.
I feel kinda bad about it, but my poor boyfriend must deal with being second to my country when it comes to my affections.

Very pretty. :3 It really gets American blood pulsing with patriotism! :D
